Kala:
I agree with you. The Internet usually makes for very superficial interactions. However, it *can* add depth to your face-to-face interactions when you do see people you know. That's something I've noticed. It gives me something to talk to a person about because I have something of a shared history with them. On the other hand, keeping myself off the Internet until 4:30 p.m. each day has made a world of difference for both my productivity and my sanity.

Mark:
I'll sign any book mailed to me. Even ones I've written. :)

How do I get my pre-ordered book signed by the author?

I'll have to check out your Kindle books, short stories are perfect on the kindle, *if* you remember to recharge the batteries, something I often forget.

I completely agree with your sentiments. It seems, at least to me, that this constant state of connectedness is lacking a quality of depth...hearing a human voice and speaking face-to-face seems to be a lost art these days as everything has turned "virtual". Silence can make people uncomfortable, some more than others, so the masses choose to fill their days with a constant barrage of information. If only they'd realize the wealth of knowledge that comes during the quiet times.

Thanks for sharing, Scott! And congrats on the book! :)
